![]() We had such a great experience that we went back the next day to order food to go for the continuation of our road trip later that day. We were visiting the area for two days and went to Green Sage for breakfast one morning. ![]() There is a ton more to try for vegetarians and gluten-free folks so this would definitely be on the regular rotation for us if we lived in Asheville. (And my wife enjoyed her turmeric latte as well.) Perfectly strong and served in a real mug just the way I wanted it. The eggs on top were perfectly cooked and had a beautiful color to them. The people I was dining with were naturally attracted to the root hash on my plate and kept digging in for more tries of it. This was hearty and delicious and I couldn't help myself but to add a side of root hash into the mix because, well, potatoes. I had the basic breakfast sandwich with real cheddar cheese and tempeh bacon. "sensitive" (as it says on their menu) folks and everything on the menu is highlighted with V or GS so it's easy to spot what you can have if you have one or both of those diets. There is PLENTY for vegetarians as well as gluten. We did well for our last meal in a 3-night stay in Asheville here at Green Sage Cafe in downtown, across the street from our hotel and, if you're already downtown it can't possibly be far.
